Premium P.A.F.
A hotter P.A.F. wind with about 8.2K in the neck and 8.9K in the bridge. The neck pickup features an extreme mismatch between the coils winds for a vintage P.A.F. vibe, a little bit of hum may be present. These have very complex, dynamic hand wound open tone. The bridge pickup features a hot, round vintage P.A.F. wind which are almost evenly matched between coils (almost).
Now let's have some fun. These pickups are only available with P.A.F. repro covers, and just like the late 1950's and into 1960, you never know what color combination the butyrate bobbins will be when you take the cover off! In fact, the two pickups may not even match in a set. They could be a double black in the neck, a zebra in the bridge. It may even be a reverse zebra in the neck and an albino zebra in the bridge! Of course you could end up with a pair of zebras or a pair of double blacks. Who knows? I will reach into my bin and wind whatever my hand grabs, and once I put the cover on, even I will not remember what is under it in my backstock.
