hey rod,
where do i begin, the pickups i got from you smoke and they are keepers. i am used to using a 10-12k pickup to handle the type of harder rock music that play but, for giggles i thought i would try out a set of skatters. i thought to myself the a low output paf would be be muddy for me. i have tried many pickups, all the major big name winders, from boutique to assembly line pups...
the earths are very clean and clear with a sharp pick attack, the more you dig on the nastier the become. the a2's[another surprize, i like a5's] are very smooth.
after listening to all the sound clips on your site, i decided you were selling yourself short. your pickups are more than just a bluesy pup. so,heres a clip that was recorded with the earthbranes... the guitar i am using my lp standard with a tonemojo 50's wiring harness through a mesa boogie tremoverb. no effects were used on the rhythms and a delay was added for the solo. the first part of the clip was just the neck pup and the second part is the bridge.
now as you see, my skatters are metal pups. my search is over, as soon as a sell all my other pickups, i will be in touch to try out another set or 2 or 3.....

The new Overwound Set (8.4k-9.1k) is MASSIVE!!! I totally love them and love the tone the they get with my vintage Marshalls. The extra output is terrific and allows me to back off the volume just a touch and still have some vintage crunch. Great job as always!! You are at the top of your trade and have added another impressive set to your PAF lineup!!-Lee Moore

I had the pickups long enough to make up my mind and I finally understand your no return policy. You Suck. You are lower than the lowest crack dealer. I am losing family and friends and my wife hates me now, not that I really care about any of them any more. I can't put my guitar down now. I wake up and it's the first thing I reach for. I sleep next to it. It's takes every fiber of my being just to set it down and go to work. It's all I can think about at work. In fact the only reason I still work is so that I can make enough money so I can buy more guitars so I can get more of your pickups. There is simply no way that all your pickups can sound like this. I am afraid to let anyone else hear it or play it because then I would have to stay awake all night guarding my guitar. I have tried to report you to the police and to the food and drug administration but they say your not doing anything illegal. I've written to President Obama and told him how you are destroying our country one set of pickups at the time until you rule a planet of guitar playing zombies who never bother with jobs or showers or food. I'll stop you yet! You are pure evil!ah so you thought I was kidding? okay maybe I was just a little, at least about the part about you sucking. let me get back to my guitar! I am serious I can not fucking believe these pickups! they are other worldly. I swear I think I must have gotten a magical set. they are beyond words. I feel like I am learning to play all over again. I have been playing now almost 35 years and I swear I think I am twice as good now as I was since I got you pickups. It's almost like I become one with them. they are beyond touch sensitive... I can amost play them in my head. It's hard to explain. But you are the master.

well........This combination of the Waterbranes with the PG Wind is incredible,this is the best combination ever, Thanks for your advice on this one Could not be happier. I am not a mid position player a little to woody for me normally, with this combination its the best I have heard, so sweet Rich & Smooth, Creamy sustain,in the Mid Position all of a sudden the vol. & Tone controls are very touch sensitive .you can hear the phasing some some increments on the controls & it just falls it this very amazing sweet spot, it's hard to describe ... its magical. with the Luxe Bumble Bees & the PG Wind pickups in the R9 , the tone is just to die for. I tested through the Vintage JTM 45 Blues Breaker & My Fender Vibro King its just sick, My good friend almost SH%T himself .I really love those Pyramid strings you sent me, they just feel so natural & wonderful the sustain goes for days ,Nice flexibility for smooth clean string bends not ridged like most strings where you have to work on them.I am going to order 10 packs of the Vintage. Thanks again. .... I think I am going to need more PG'sAnyway... Happy yet again,

Hi Rod.
I installed my SKATTERBRANES a few days ago.
It has amazing tone!
Neck pickup is very natural and warm.
Bridge pickup has nice edgey high end, but also sweet.
I was especially impressed that both pickups are very touch sensitive
and quick response.
I can control clean to distort easy by how hard I hit the strings.
Now I'm very happy with SKATTERBRANES !
I want to tell you many things that how much I really like it.
But, I can't speak ENGLISH well. Sorry!
